OpenAI’s Daybreak Red is available through Amazon Bedrock in AWS GovCloud (US-East), extending GPT-5.6 Cyber access for authorized cybersecurity work while requiring OpenAI approval and AWS account-team provisioning.

Amazon Web Services announced the availability Oct. 30. Customers must receive approval for OpenAI’s Daybreak program and work with their AWS account team to enable the service. A GovCloud account alone does not grant access.

Daybreak Red is designed for authorized security work, including finding software vulnerabilities, reproducing exploits and developing mitigations. Its model identifier in Bedrock is openai.gpt-5.6-cyber.

The Independent Community Bankers of America and OpenAI previously announced a pathway for eligible member banks to explore Daybreak, a separate initiative from AWS GovCloud access.
