Binance Says It Replenished 98% of Assets Affected by $6.34B Crypto Theft
The exchange said it used its own resources and expanded proof-of-reserves coverage to 44 cryptocurrencies.
Binance said Wednesday it had replenished 98% of assets affected by the Oct. 29 attack, which involved about $6.34 billion in stolen crypto assets, and expanded proof-of-reserves coverage to 44 cryptocurrencies.
The exchange said it used its own resources for the replenishment. Its proof-of-reserves coverage now spans 44 cryptocurrencies.
Coinbase said the breach did not affect its systems or customer funds and that more than 99% of customer assets are held in cold storage, as described in its security update.
