Apple Adds Native Markdown Previews to Finder in macOS 27.3 Beta

Apple's first developer beta of macOS 27.3, released Nov. 3, adds native Markdown display to Finder's Quick Look, letting Mac users inspect formatted .md files without opening a separate editor.

Users select a file in Finder and press the space bar to open its preview. Quick Look renders headings, bold text, lists and links.

Separately, Apple's Siri AI app skills use Markdown instructions. Developers can include a SKILL.md file with an app to guide Siri through tasks involving that app.
