Variational plans to open its trading API to the public later in November as it is being opened to a small group of whitelist-selected alpha testers, founder and CEO Lucas Schuermann said.

The new timeline adds a public API plan to Variational’s earlier wallet-connection update, which did not confirm an API launch. Schuermann also described the public mainnet as close at hand.

He said the project decided in mid-September to devote substantial development resources to protocol security audits and further optimization. The planned work covers additional reviews of the codebase and operating processes, AI-assisted penetration testing and red-team testing.

Variational still plans a token generation event (TGE) this year and a major partnership announcement previously referenced in its tokenomics update. Schuermann said the project expects to share more progress from late November.
