ZetaChain plans to launch its privacy-focused artificial intelligence app ZetaLabs on Dec. 9, alongside a proposed move of the ZetaChain token (ZETA) to Solana, where it would serve as the app’s core token.

The proposed move of ZETA to Solana remains subject to governance approval. Voting on ZetaHub is open through Saturday, Nov. 7. If approved, ZetaChain’s Layer 1 is expected to stop operating around Dec. 9, and ZETA would convert to a native Solana token at a one-to-one ratio.

The proposal says holders would not need to take action before the migration. It also calls for permanently revoking minting authority and burning about 55 million unallocated validator rewards in monthly installments on their original release schedule. ZETA supply would decline in 2027, and the migration would end further inflation.

Investor and core contributor tokens are scheduled to be fully unlocked by Jan. 1, 2027. The foundation pledged not to sell ZETA it holds that unlocks in 2027.
