iOS Self-Custody Wallet Losses Reach About $127,000 in One Week
Six reports came in during the latest week, compared with four reports and $434,000 in losses the week before. GoPlus Security urged iPhone users to update iOS and check for malicious apps.

GoPlus Security issued a warning Nov. 5. Six cases involving iOS self-custody wallet users were recorded from Oct. 28 through Nov. 3. The reports put losses at about $127,000. The preceding week saw four reports involving about $434,000. The latest period had more reports but a lower reported loss total.
GoPlus identified DarkSword and Coruna as possible links to the attacks. The tools are described as iOS exploit tools targeting wallet apps, but the warning did not confirm that either caused the reported losses.
GoPlus urged iPhone users to install the latest iOS version and check their devices for malicious apps. The affected users were mainly in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
GoPlus framed the reports as a potentially continuing security issue for iOS wallet users. Its alert paired an operating-system update with a check for malicious apps, addressing both the phone and software installed on it.
