MetaMask Brings Limit Orders to Mobile Token Swaps on Four Networks
The feature is available in MetaMask Mobile 8.18.0 and later, with tokens staying in the wallet while orders are pending.

MetaMask has added limit orders to token swaps in its mobile wallet, letting users set a price target across four networks and leave an order pending until that condition is met.
Rolled out around Nov. 5, the feature is available in MetaMask Mobile version 8.18.0 and later. It supports Ethereum, Base, BNB Smart Chain and Robinhood Chain. Users can review and manage open orders in the app.
With a limit order, a user sets a price threshold for a trade. MetaMask allows buy orders below the current market price and sell orders above it. Unlike a swap submitted for immediate execution, a limit order waits for its price condition to be met.
The feature uses revocable ERC-7702 delegation to execute orders conditionally. Tokens stay in the user's wallet while an order is pending, and the permission can be withdrawn. Users can leave an order waiting without first transferring the assets to an exchange.
Users do not need a separate balance of a network's native token to pay network fees. Those fees are deducted from the tokens being sold. MetaMask's service fee applies only when an order fills, so an order that never reaches its target does not incur that charge.
The feature is part of MetaMask's Swaps aggregator, which launched in 2020 and gathers quotes from multiple sources for in-wallet token trades. It adds conditional execution to the swap service while letting users manage pending orders in the mobile app.
MetaMask also supports limit and stop-loss controls for perpetual positions through its mobile Pro Mode interface, which applies to those positions rather than token swaps.
