Bull Bitcoin Adds Payjoin Transfer Option, Defaults On-Chain BULL Wallet Trades
Payjoin is optional for deposits and withdrawals and defaults for on-chain buys and sells through BULL Wallet’s embedded exchange integration.

Bull Bitcoin added Payjoin as an option for Bitcoin (BTC) deposits and withdrawals and made it the default for on-chain buys and sells via BULL Wallet’s embedded exchange integration, expanding use of the privacy feature. The company announced the change Nov. 5.
Bull Bitcoin is the first Bitcoin exchange to make Payjoin available for customer deposits and withdrawals. The default applies to on-chain activity through the wallet’s exchange integration.
An unspent transaction output (UTXO) is an output available to spend. Payjoin can make it harder for outside observers to infer which funds belong to whom or how much was transferred.
For eligible purchases, Bull Bitcoin’s implementation can also add an existing wallet UTXO to the transaction, consolidating wallet outputs in a way that can lower fees on later transactions and help reduce Bitcoin’s total UTXO set.
BULL Wallet added Payjoin V2 support in December 2024. A PISA prototype combining Payjoin with signature aggregation demonstrated a separate way to reduce Bitcoin transaction size.
