Meta Begins U.S. Rollout of Voice Chats and Expressive Muse Avatars
The Muse app update covers mobile, web and Mac, with voice-only and avatar display options. Meta also plans to bring voice conversations to its AI glasses and Muse Charm.

Meta began a U.S. rollout of real-time voice conversations and expressive avatars for Muse on Thursday, Nov. 5, extending its personal AI agent across mobile, web and Mac.
Users can start a conversation by tapping the phone icon in the upper-right corner of the Muse app. They can choose voice-only mode, show the avatar beside the chat or expand it to full screen. The feature offers hundreds of voice options, and users can interrupt Muse while it speaks.
The avatar uses expressions and gestures that match the conversation. Meta introduced Muse in September as an agent designed to handle tasks across apps and services. The company previewed real-time conversations with Muse at Connect 2026 that month.
Meta plans to bring voice conversations to its AI glasses and Muse Charm device. It has not announced launch dates for either expansion.
