Sanctum Adds 2-of-3 Multisignature Security Across Its Wallets
The company says one lost key will not lock users out and one leaked key will not be enough to compromise access.

Sanctum says its wallets have adopted a 2-of-3 multisignature setup, a change intended to preserve access after key loss and prevent one exposed key from compromising a wallet.
In this arrangement, two of three keys are needed to authorize a transaction. Sanctum says losing one key will not lock users out, while a single leaked key will not be enough to compromise access.
Multisignature wallets can shift risks among keys, devices and transaction approvals. A previous look at multisignature security and key risks described those trade-offs.
