Pompliano Accuses Anthropic of Seeking Silvia Product Secrets
Claude's personal finance beta is rolling out to U.S. Pro, Max and Ultra subscribers with read-only bank connections.

Anthropic announced a beta personal finance tool for Claude at 1 p.m. ET on Nov. 5 as crypto investor Anthony Pompliano accused the company of seeking product secrets from engineers at his startup, Silvia.
The feature is gradually opening to U.S. subscribers on Pro, Max and Ultra plans. Users connect bank accounts through Plaid and grant read-only access. Claude can review up to two years of transactions but cannot transfer funds or make investments.
About an hour after the announcement, Pompliano posted on X that Anthropic employees had contacted Silvia engineers since April to seek corporate secrets, technical details and future plans. He also said an Anthropic employee warned Silvia days before the launch that a competing product was coming. The post included no messages or screenshots.
Silvia is a personal finance service that connects accounts and answers household money questions, putting it in the same market as Claude's new feature. Pompliano said Silvia's engineers refused to share sensitive details. Silvia claims more than 20,000 investors use its service and have linked over $60 billion in assets.
