Ethereum Foundation Urges Developers and Auditors to Check Glamsterdam Gas Assumptions
Eight assumptions may no longer hold under EIP-8037 and EIP-8038; the Foundation repository offers examples and prompts for teams to use in their reviews.

The Ethereum Foundation is urging smart contract developers and auditors to check whether their projects depend on eight gas assumptions that EIP-8037 and EIP-8038 would change in Glamsterdam.
The Foundation has put the assumptions in a repository with explanations, examples and prompts teams can use for self-review. Projects that find they are affected can contact the Foundation team by email.
The Foundation is working with several audit firms and conducting internal audits. The effort cannot cover every Ethereum project or all of its on-chain and off-chain code.
The warning follows the postponement of Glamsterdam’s Hoodi testnet activation. The Foundation announced the delay Oct. 23 and has not named a replacement date.
