President Donald Trump said Nov. 6 that he supports superintelligence and will work with many U.S. states seeking to build wealth by owning the technology.

The statement follows a separate White House initiative exceeding $6 billion for scientific AI research, announced in October. Superintelligence is among the initiative’s targets, alongside other research priorities.
