1789 Capital Seeks $3 Billion for Its Second Growth Fund
The investment firm tied to Donald Trump Jr. has raised about $2 billion from existing investors and manages more than $4 billion in assets.

1789 Capital is seeking $3 billion for its second growth fund after raising about $2 billion from existing investors, expanding the investment firm’s push into larger growth-stage deals.
The firm, which is tied to Donald Trump Jr., now manages more than $4 billion in assets. Its portfolio includes Anduril Industries Inc., Polymarket and several companies associated with Elon Musk, including X, xAI and SpaceX.
1789 Capital plans to reduce the number of companies in its portfolio while increasing the amount invested in each deal. The firm also intends to lead more funding rounds.
The fund’s planned size would give 1789 Capital additional capacity to back private companies at a time when large growth investments are becoming an increasingly important part of its strategy. The firm has also considered leading a roughly $1 billion fundraising round for prediction-market platform Polymarket, with a potential investment of about $300 million.
The second growth fund remains in the fundraising stage as of Sept. 24.
