Telegram Renames Wallet Service Walt, Plans Crypto Card and AI Tools
Walt will retain its existing trading, investment, yield and cross-chain services while Telegram develops new crypto products.
Telegram has renamed its Wallet in Telegram service Walt as it expands its crypto product lineup with a planned card and AI-powered trading tools.
Walt will continue offering trading, investment and yield products, along with multichain assets and cross-chain transfers. Telegram also plans to introduce a crypto card and conversational trading features powered by artificial intelligence.
Existing users will not need to move funds or migrate their accounts.
The change follows Telegram’s introduction of Gram Wallet as a separate noncustodial service. As outlined in Telegram’s earlier wallet restructuring, Walt serves as the home for Telegram’s custodial financial products, while Gram Wallet provides a separate option for users who want to control their own assets.
