Startale Japan plans to raise about $630,000 through a one-year secured digital corporate bond, with interest and principal paid in the yen stablecoin JPYSC through the Startale App.

The company is seeking 99.9 million yen. Fundraising began Oct. 6, and the bond carries a fixed annual rate of 5% before tax. The minimum subscription is 100,000 yen, or about $632.

Startale Japan is part of Startale Group. Startale describes the offering as Japan’s first digital corporate bond to use a yen-denominated trust-type stablecoin for both interest payments and repayment of principal.

Separately, Japan’s Finance Ministry has formed a five-member panel to examine blockchain-based government bonds. The panel’s first meeting is scheduled for Oct. 8, with discussions expected to be compiled between December 2026 and January 2027. The study concerns government debt, while Startale Japan’s bond is a corporate issuance. Japan’s Finance Ministry is studying blockchain bonds.
