Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. extended its record monthly sales streak in September, with revenue rising 54.6% from a year earlier as global investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure continues.

Revenue reached NT$511.86 billion, or $16.03 billion, in September, down 0.6% from August.

TSMC is the world’s largest contract chipmaker and manufactures semiconductors for companies including Nvidia and Apple. Strong demand for advanced chips has supported the company’s revenue growth as data-center and AI infrastructure investment expands globally.

The company also committed to using ASML’s High NA extreme ultraviolet lithography machines, which are designed to support production of more advanced chips. Samsung Electronics is also adopting the equipment.

TSMC shares closed 1.35% lower before the September revenue figures were released.

The company is scheduled to report third-quarter earnings on Oct. 15 at 2 a.m. ET (0600 UTC). The Oct. 15 earnings call is expected to provide new details on quarterly performance and the outlook for advanced chip demand.
