Polymarket CEO Discusses Possible Asset With No Airdrop Announced
Shayne Coplan discussed an on-chain asset tied to Polymarket’s economy at TOKEN2049 in Singapore, but gave no launch date or distribution details.

Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan discussed a possible on-chain asset for the platform at TOKEN2049 in Singapore, but gave no launch date or distribution details and announced no airdrop or token-generation event.
The platform uses pUSD, a Polygon-based token backed by USDC, as collateral. That use does not establish plans for a separate Polymarket asset.
The discussion comes amid reported investments in the company. Intercontinental Exchange made an additional $600 million equity investment in March and expected to buy up to $40 million in securities from existing holders. ICE invested $1 billion in October 2025.
Those transactions are equity investments. Polymarket’s potential asset, any airdrop and its financing remain separate matters unless the company announces specific terms.
