Tesla Lists $250,000 Total Reservation Payment for Thrust Roadster
Performance is listed at $50,000, and neither amount is a final vehicle price. The Thrust payment requires $5,000 at reservation and $245,000 within 10 days.

Tesla lists a $250,000 total reservation payment for the two-seat Thrust Roadster, setting a substantial upfront commitment while leaving the vehicle’s eventual purchase price undecided.
The two-seat Performance version is listed at $50,000. Both versions require $5,000 at reservation, followed by $245,000 for Thrust or $45,000 for Performance within 10 days.
Those amounts are reservation payments, not final prices. Tesla’s terms say a reservation does not constitute an order and the purchase price has not been finalized. The one-seat Rocket version, which has a full flight system, is available by invitation only.
At its Oct. 15 presentation, Tesla showed the redesigned Roadster climbing an inverted ramp, rolling in the air and landing with thrusters before hopping over a line of Tesla vehicles. The reservation tiers followed the Roadster reveal.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk said production is targeted for 2028. The company has not announced a customer delivery date. Tesla first showed this generation of Roadster in 2017, when Musk projected availability in 2020.
