Tesla Opens China Roadster Reservations With 332,000-Yuan Deposit

Tesla’s China site currently accepts reservations for the Performance version only, with a deposit of 332,000 yuan. On the U.S. site, Performance reservations total $50,000: $5,000 is due upfront, followed by $45,000 within 10 days.

U.S. buyers can also reserve the Thrust version for $250,000, paying $5,000 upfront and the remaining $245,000 within 10 days. Rocket reservations are available by invitation only.

The payments secure a reservation but do not set a final price or constitute an order; the purchase price remains undetermined under Tesla’s reservation terms.
