Jump Trading Plans Market Making for CME and ICE Compute Futures
CME is working with Silicon Data and ICE with Ornn. The proposed CME futures remained under regulatory review through Nov. 9; Oct. 15 applied to a separate data product.

Jump Trading plans to make markets in artificial intelligence (AI) compute futures being developed by CME Group with Silicon Data and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) with Ornn, bringing a trading firm into a market for contracts tied to GPU capacity.
Jump has formed a dedicated team and plans to use its balance sheet to take trading risk as a market maker in both sets of contracts. The move builds on Jump’s earlier plans to trade computing-capacity contracts.
DRW plans to trade compute contracts through three teams using different strategies. It expects to trade Silicon Data products but has not decided whether to enter contracts from other providers.
CME Group’s proposed futures with Silicon Data remained under regulatory review through Nov. 9. Oct. 15 was the effective date for CME Group to distribute nontradable forward-curve pricing for Silicon Data’s H100 and B200 GPU rental indexes, a separate data product from the futures.
