Meta and Tesla are due to report third-quarter results Wednesday, Oct. 21, with investors turning to the companies’ outlooks after a sharp Friday drop in major U.S. stock indexes.

The Nasdaq Composite finished at 26,140.03 on Oct. 16, down 2.14%. The S&P 500 closed at 7,659.44, a 1.1% decline. Both figures reflect the 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC) close.

The results are part of a broader Oct. 19-23 U.S. market calendar that includes other corporate reports, an Nvidia keynote and U.S. economic readings. Federal Reserve officials are in a quiet period before the Oct. 28 meeting, leaving corporate earnings and economic data among the week’s scheduled updates. Investors will look to earnings and forward guidance for evidence that the companies can sustain growth after the technology pullback.

Both companies are scheduled to release results after the market closes. Meta’s earnings call is set for 4:30 p.m. ET (20:30 UTC), followed by Tesla’s webcast at 5:30 p.m. ET (21:30 UTC).
