JPMorganChase financed or facilitated more than $230 billion in transactions during the first year of its Security and Resiliency Initiative, a 10-year program spanning manufacturing, energy and technology.

The transaction figure covers deals the bank financed or helped facilitate; it is not a tally of direct investment. Its Strategic Investment Group also committed $5 billion in equity investments during the first year, reaching half of the program’s initial $10 billion equity allocation. The commitment figure and the transaction total measure different kinds of activity.

The initiative covers manufacturing and supply chains, defense and aerospace, energy, strategic technologies, and pharmaceuticals and health technology. Its technology work includes artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and quantum computing. Activity under the program also includes critical minerals and nuclear and geothermal energy. The first-year transaction total spans those sectors rather than technology projects alone.

Nearly one-third of initiative-related activity occurred outside the United States during the first year. JPMorganChase expanded the program to Europe and Canada in 2026. The international share reflects activity across the initiative, while the more than $230 billion figure covers transactions financed or facilitated across the program.

JPMorganChase launched the initiative on Oct. 13, 2025, with a target of $1.5 trillion over 10 years. About $1 trillion of that target represented transactions the bank had already expected to finance or facilitate. The plan aimed to add up to $500 billion beyond that expected activity. The full target therefore includes both previously anticipated business and the additional transactions the bank sought to generate.

The first-year figures mark progress against that longer plan in two ways: transaction activity across the initiative and equity commitments by its Strategic Investment Group. The $5 billion commitment represents half of the group’s initial allocation, while the more than $230 billion total captures the broader financing and facilitation work. The two amounts do not form a combined investment total.

“We are proud of what we have accomplished in SRI’s first year, but this is only the beginning,” said Jay Horine, head of the Security and Resiliency Initiative, JPMorganChase Global Banking.
