Apple Plans Three-Year Commitment of Up to $100 Million With Perryman

Perryman will supply titanium for Apple products including the iPhone Duo; the night sky 512GB model still carried a Jan. 25, 2027, U.S. delivery estimate on Oct. 19.

Apple plans a three-year commitment of up to $100 million with Perryman Company, adding a Pennsylvania titanium supplier for products including the iPhone Duo as it expands U.S. manufacturing.

At its Houston, Pennsylvania, facility, Perryman melts, forges and rolls grade 5 titanium used for the Duo. The material has at least 80% recycled content. Apple’s announcement did not give a production target or ramp-up date for Perryman’s work.

“American ingenuity is vital to all our products,” Apple Chief Operating Officer Sabih Khan said.

Apple is also expanding U.S. camera-component work with Delaware-based Qnity Electronics. Qnity will produce advanced films for the variable-aperture 48-megapixel main camera in the iPhone 18 Pro.

The additions are part of Apple’s American Manufacturing Program, launched in August 2025 within a broader $600 billion, four-year U.S. spending and investment commitment. That figure covers the wider plan, not the Perryman commitment.

U.S. iPhone Duo preorders opened Oct. 16 at 8 a.m. ET (12:00 UTC). By 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 UTC), shipping estimates across colors and storage configurations had reached Jan. 25, 2027. An Oct. 19 U.S. store check still showed that date for the night sky 512GB model.

The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 in the U.S., and availability is scheduled for Oct. 23.
