Netflix plans to bring its ad-supported subscription tier to 15 additional countries in 2027, with launches starting in March, extending the geographic reach of its advertising business.

The initial launches will cover nine countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, along with Colombia, Peru and New Zealand.

Separately, Netflix’s 2026 advertising revenue forecast now stands at about $2.7 billion, down from approximately $3 billion. A slower rollout than expected for some ad product capabilities drove the revision. Subscription revenue growth exceeded the company’s expectations.

For the quarter ended Sept. 30, revenue rose 11.8% from a year earlier to $12.874 billion and was in line with Netflix’s forecast. Diluted earnings per share rose to $0.87 from $0.59, while operating margin increased to 34.6% from 28.2%.

Netflix forecasts $51.1 billion in revenue and a 31.5% operating margin for full-year 2026. Incoming Chief Content Officer Peter Rice is scheduled to take over Oct. 26 from outgoing Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria and oversee the company’s global content organization.
