Stifel Financial Corp. beat third-quarter earnings expectations but missed on revenue as it prepares a commercial banking platform that it plans to equip with stablecoin payments.

Non-GAAP diluted earnings were $1.46 per share for the quarter ended Sept. 30, $0.02 above the $1.44 analyst mean. Non-GAAP net revenue was $1.429 billion, about $21 million below the $1.450 billion mean.

Net income available to common shareholders under generally accepted accounting principles rose to $224.8 million from $202.1 million in the third quarter of 2025. That was an increase of $22.7 million from a year earlier.

Stifel announced a minority investment in Meow Technologies, Inc. on Oct. 15. It plans to offer a bank-branded version of Meow’s treasury platform through Stifel Bank, with stablecoin payments among the planned capabilities.

Stifel expects to begin onboarding clients in early 2027. Stifel plans to roll out the platform initially to its venture and fund banking clients.
