Kalshi Prime customers will be able to borrow against crypto held at BitGo Bank & Trust and use the proceeds as margin for perpetual futures traded on Kalshi, under a new collateral arrangement involving the two firms.

Kalshi Prime is a U.S.-registered futures commission merchant serving institutional clients. Loans will come from Kalshi Katalyst, a lending affiliate of Kalshi Prime, while BitGo Bank & Trust holds the assets securing them. The agreement uses a three-party collateral management structure spanning the futures business, its lending affiliate and the custodian.

Eligible collateral includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH) and stablecoins that comply with the GENIUS Act. More custodians are expected to be added to the arrangement, extending the network where clients can custody assets for these loans.

Kalshi introduced perpetual futures tied to gold, silver and cryptocurrencies earlier this year. The company has applied to offer similar perpetual-style products linked to oil and U.S. stocks. The collateral program connects those futures offerings to borrowing backed by digital assets held in custody.
