SAP’s third-quarter results included seven customers selecting its AI and data solutions, but did not provide a separate revenue figure for AI or contract values for those customer selections.

The results, released Oct. 21 for the quarter ended Sept. 30, showed total revenue of €10.27 billion, up 13% from a year earlier and 12% at constant currencies. Revenue topped €10 billion for the first time.

Cloud revenue reached €6.668 billion, up 26% on a reported basis and 25% at constant currencies. Current cloud backlog totaled €24.144 billion, an increase of 28% as reported and 26% at constant currencies. Cloud ERP Suite revenue was €5.924 billion, up 29% as reported and 28% at constant currencies.

Non-IFRS operating profit rose 18% to €3.03 billion. IFRS operating profit also increased 18%, to €2.93 billion, while non-IFRS basic earnings per share gained 19% to €1.89.

Cloud growth included a multi-quarter catch-up as customers returned from financial distress. Acquisitions added €49 million to revenue and reduced IFRS operating profit by €59 million and non-IFRS operating profit by €39 million.

“Q3 was an outstanding quarter,” SAP CEO Christian Klein said.

For 2026, SAP projects cloud revenue of €25.8 billion to €26.2 billion and cloud-and-software revenue of €36.3 billion to €36.8 billion, with both expected near the top of their ranges at constant currencies. The non-IFRS operating profit outlook remains €11.8 billion to €12.2 billion, also at constant currencies.

SAP expects current cloud backlog growth to ease slightly in 2026 at constant currencies. That outlook assumes a stable macroeconomic environment in the fourth quarter. The company also expects the decline in software support revenue to accelerate as customers move to cloud products.

The quarter’s revenue and cloud growth provide broader context for the seven AI and data selections, whose financial contribution was not separately quantified.
