Cardano Academy will teach a session on Cardano fundamentals and its extended unspent transaction output model in the University of Nicosia’s blockchain and digital-assets course, adding a network-focused lesson to the Foundation’s support for 25 student places.

The Cardano Foundation announced the planned session Oct. 22. It will include supporting reading materials and a live question-and-answer segment.

The Foundation is sponsoring 25 places in the Advanced Track. At the listed tuition of €199 per seat, those places total €4,975, close to the university’s approximate €5,000 valuation. The Advanced Track runs for four weeks and follows an eight-week introductory portion that is free to learners.

Together, the two tracks cover 12 weeks of blockchain and digital-asset material. The advanced curriculum includes digital ownership, regulation and policy, blockchain scaling, and the intersection of blockchain with artificial intelligence and the internet of things. Cardano Academy’s session will bring Cardano fundamentals and eUTxO into that wider program.

The University of Nicosia course began in 2014 and has attracted more than 150,000 learners from over 120 countries. Its industry contributions have also included sessions involving Ripple, Avalanche and Trezor. The mix places the Cardano material alongside instruction and contributions tied to other blockchain and digital-asset projects.

The sponsorship extends the Foundation’s involvement in the university’s course. The planned eUTxO session adds a Cardano-focused component to the Foundation’s earlier sponsorship of 25 Advanced Track places.
