Barclays Raises Tesla Rating on Potential SpaceX Combination
The bank moved Tesla to overweight from equal weight and lifted its price target to $450 from $370. Analyst Dan Levy also cited projections for growth in Tesla’s auto business and energy shipments.

Barclays raised Tesla to overweight from equal weight and lifted its price target to $450 from $370, citing a possible SpaceX combination and projections for growth in Tesla’s auto business and energy shipments.
The $450 target is 21% above Tesla’s Friday close. Barclays analyst Dan Levy said recent discussion around Tesla had centered heavily on a possible combination with SpaceX.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk said Tesla and SpaceX formed separate committees to discuss a potential combination, but no agreement has been reached.
Levy said Tesla’s auto business was on track to grow in 2026 after two years of declines, with further growth expected in 2027 as demand for full self-driving and exports from Giga Shanghai increase. He also wrote that Tesla’s energy business was nearly sold out for 2027, with data center demand supporting the potential for shipment growth of more than 50%.
Tesla shares have fallen more than 17% year to date.
