Soneium and Asseto plan to introduce a royalty investment vault on Soneium Portal, giving the network’s entertainment rights initiative a proposed product linked to a Partners Group fund.

The IP Vault would accept deposits of ipUSD for exposure to returns from the royalty fund. The proposed process calls for Startale App to exchange Startale USD (USDSC) for ipUSD at a 1:1 rate. Startale Group issues USDSC, a dollar stablecoin used on Soneium.

The plan adds a product to Soneium’s earlier outline of a royalty investment vault. That outline described indirect investment in entertainment assets as part of a broader effort to bring intellectual property rights onto its Ethereum layer 2 network.

Partners Group invests in royalties across sectors including music, television, pharmaceuticals and energy. Its broader royalties strategy had 53 investments as of July 17; that figure does not describe the proposed vault’s holdings.

Soneium and Asseto plan to introduce ipUSD and the IP Vault on Oct. 28.
