Shinhan Card plans an employee-only token-payment pilot with Dunamu at a merchant inside its headquarters, testing QR-code purchases through GIWA Wallet on GIWA Chain.

Employees will receive tokens issued by Shinhan Card in GIWA Wallet and scan QR codes to pay. Dojang, an on-chain identity verification technology, will verify employee identities. Only wallets registered in advance will be able to transact.

The pilot is limited to employees and a merchant at Shinhan Card’s headquarters. The company plans to pursue commercialization after related legislation is completed, then expand participating merchants and connect with global blockchain networks in stages.

Separately, Dunamu and MoonPay agreed to explore stablecoin payments and corporate treasury applications.
