Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said Ripple will not abandon XRP, addressing market speculation that the company could reduce support for the token and focus on its RLUSD stablecoin.

Speaking at the opening of Swell 2026, Garlinghouse described XRP’s momentum as significant and said RLUSD was one factor behind it. He characterized the two assets as complementary.

The statement follows Garlinghouse’s earlier comments about his XRP holdings and institutional use of the token, discussed in an earlier article on his XRP views.
