Origin Bancorp expects its fourth-quarter net interest margin to hover near 4%, while targeting high-single-digit loan growth in 2026 and 2027 as competitive pricing risks a lower margin.

Management forecasts a fourth-quarter margin of about 4%, with a range of 5 basis points above or below that level. It said competitive pricing could push net interest margin below 4%.

The company is targeting high-single-digit loan growth in 2026 and expects a similar pace in 2027. Management said it will not compromise its return-on-assets goals to achieve that growth.

Origin Bancorp’s outlook assumes one additional 25-basis-point Federal Reserve rate increase in December. The company also projects low-double-digit growth in full-year net interest income and has raised its pretax, pre-provision return-on-assets outlook.
