FTMO has added simulated Micro Bitcoin (MBT) and Micro Ether (MET) futures to its global evaluation program, bringing contracts tied to Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) into a lineup where traders can pursue rewards.

FTMO announced FTMO Futures on Sept. 17. The program is available worldwide through Growth and Pro plans, with access via Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView. Its 30-contract list comprises 19 E-mini contracts and 11 micro contracts. Micro Bitcoin and Micro Ether are part of the 11 micro contracts. The broader list also covers metals, energy, equity indexes and foreign exchange.

The program uses live CME data, but trading takes place in simulated accounts. Participants complete an evaluation before moving to a simulated funded account, and successful participants can receive rewards. FTMO’s entities do not act as brokers or accept customer deposits.

The launch brings the founders’ earlier interest in futures into FTMO’s product lineup. Otakar Šuffner and Marek Vašíček met at a trading club at Prague University of Economics and Business, sharing an interest in futures. FTMO was founded in 2015 and built its business around contracts for difference (CFDs).

Šuffner, FTMO’s co-founder and CEO, described the launch as a response to trader requests: “For years, traders have asked FTMO to bring its experience to futures. FTMO listened.”

FTMO completed its acquisition of OANDA on Dec. 1, 2025, after approvals from five regulators. OANDA was to remain a standalone business. The acquisition also preceded leadership changes at OANDA.

During the acquisition process, FTMO secured a $250 million syndicated credit facility led by UniCredit. Šuffner said, “We made those bankers like FTMO and received the financing in record time for the Czech Republic.”
