Roblox Shares Slip as Daily Active Users Fall 9% Year Over Year
Daily users and playtime fell year over year, while bookings and revenue topped estimates and Roblox projected a 10% to 15% bookings decline in the fourth quarter.

Roblox shares fell in Friday premarket trading after the gaming platform’s third-quarter update showed fewer daily users and less time spent playing, while its fourth-quarter bookings outlook also pointed lower.
The company averaged 138 million daily active users, down 9% from a year earlier. Players logged 33.8 billion hours on the platform, a 15% year-over-year decrease.
Roblox recorded a $0.32 loss per share, smaller than the expected $0.40 loss. Bookings totaled $1.7 billion, above the $1.62 billion estimate, though they were 12% below the year-earlier quarter. Revenue increased 16% year over year to $1.57 billion.
For the fourth quarter, Roblox forecast bookings between $1.89 billion and $2 billion, 10% to 15% below the prior-year period. The range matches the company’s previously disclosed fourth-quarter bookings outlook. Roblox also expects $380 million in fourth-quarter capital spending, including $140 million shifted from the previous quarter.
