Binance co-founder 何一 cited the exchange's publicly available business figures in response to “inside job” allegations after its Oct. 30 hot-wallet theft, while addressing concerns about whether Binance could meet its obligations.

Some community members had described the theft as an inside job. 何一 pointed to Binance’s trading volume, fees, user base and quarterly BNB burns, saying the information is public. She said concerns about Binance’s solvency were understandable among people who did not know that its trading volume, fees, user base and quarterly BNB burn data were publicly available.

She also said funds staked in AAVE were not included in Binance’s frozen-asset tally. Excess collateral may reduce losses if formal procedures release it; her remarks described a possible outcome rather than a completed recovery.

The potential recovery builds on Binance's earlier recovery update. 何一's latest remarks also addressed community concerns about whether the exchange's own conduct contributed to the theft.
