Broadridge Financial Solutions will add proxy voting and digital transfer-agent services to the New York Stock Exchange’s planned tokenized-securities platform, linking token share trading with shareholder governance and issuer services.

NYSE-listed companies would be able to tokenize shares for trading on the venue. Broadridge’s package would combine traditional and digital transfer-agent capabilities with proxy voting, shareholder communications and digital identity services. The planned services are intended for public companies and investors in tokenized shares, connecting shareholder functions with the platform’s trading and clearing infrastructure.

The platform is still in development and cannot launch until it receives regulatory approval. Broadridge CEO Tim Gokey said the combined offering is intended to make participation easier for issuers, “regardless of how shares are traded or where they are held.”

The NYSE outlined the platform in January with goals that include around-the-clock trading, instant settlement and stablecoin funding. In March, the exchange announced work with Securitize on transfer-agent infrastructure. Broadridge’s planned integration adds voting and issuer services to the NYSE’s tokenized-securities plan.

Broadridge’s DLX platform covers tokenized securities services from issuance through trading, financing, settlement and servicing. The company’s planned NYSE offering would bring some of those issuer and shareholder services to the exchange’s developing venue. The NYSE has not announced a launch date.
