Visa opened six global capability hubs in Singapore on Nov. 5, bringing work on stablecoins, payment systems and emerging technologies together at a center with more than 1,500 professionals.

The hubs are based at a new solutions center in Paya Lebar Green. Their focus areas include applied AI and agentic commerce; digital currencies, stablecoins and programmable payments; wallets and alternative payment methods; cybersecurity; and quantum computing.

Visa plans to add roles in research, engineering and innovation in Singapore. Its partners include Nium and StraitsX.

In October, Visa moved stablecoin prefunding for Visa Direct into commercial deployment, with Inyo Global as the first enabler.
