Saudi Arabia warned of potential danger inside the Yanbu oil hub, raising security concerns around a Red Sea export route important to the kingdom’s energy shipments.

The alert followed interceptions by the Saudi-led coalition of missiles targeting several areas, including Medina. No disruption to Yanbu’s operations has been confirmed.

Yanbu is a major oil-export hub on the Red Sea. Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline carries crude from its eastern fields to the coast, providing an export route that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz.

In a separate earlier incident, Saudi Arabia said it intercepted six ballistic missiles targeting Yanbu and Taif. Authorities issued alerts around the port before declaring that threat had passed.
