OpenAssets will implement Digital Asset’s DA Registry for institutions using Canton as part of a newly announced collaboration. The arrangement covers token issuance and distribution, settlement, compliance and asset management.

Institutions can use the registry to set whitelists, blacklists and transfer approvals. It can also connect to external know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering monitoring services.

Tokenized assets supported by the arrangement can be used for atomic settlement, collateral management and lending across Canton applications. The network has also been used for institutional derivatives activity, including an on-chain derivatives swap.
