U.S. Core PCE Inflation Slows to 3%, Lowest in Six Months
August core PCE inflation eased from the previous month and came in below the 3.3% market forecast, offering a fresh signal for U.S. rate expectations.

U.S. core personal consumption expenditures inflation slowed to 3% in August, its lowest annual rate since February and below the 3.3% market forecast, giving markets a new signal on Federal Reserve policy expectations.
The annual reading eased from July, reaching its lowest level since February.
The softer result may influence expectations for the path of U.S. interest rates and shape sentiment across crypto markets. Bitcoin (BTC) and other digital assets remain sensitive to changes in rate expectations, although the inflation figure alone does not determine market direction.
The August data was released Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 p.m. UTC).
