Ether (ETH) was trading at $2,491.14 as Binance perpetuals showed an $8.18 million advantage in near-term sell-side depth, signaling a heavier concentration of nearby sell orders in the market cited.

Sell orders totaled $57.2415 million, compared with $49.0568 million in buy orders. The difference was $8.1847 million, and Binance perpetuals had the thickest sell-side depth among the markets cited.

Binance’s spot market showed the opposite balance, with buy-side depth exceeding sell-side depth. Its overall order-book size was smaller than the perpetual market’s.

The figures describe near-term orders rather than completed trades. If large buy or sell orders emerge, thinner order books could be affected first, which could make price moves more pronounced.

The market readings were recorded at 2:04 a.m. ET (06:04 UTC) on Oct. 9. The data follows earlier coverage of Binance Ether perpetual order-book depth, which found a larger sell-side imbalance on Oct. 8.
