Crypto Market Cap Falls 3.40% to $2.79 Trillion as Bitcoin Rises

Bitcoin (BTC) edged higher while the broader crypto market declined in the 24 hours through 9:04 a.m. ET (13:04 UTC) Oct. 11, extending a mixed trading pattern across major digital assets.
BTC traded at $83,090, up 0.31%, as total crypto market capitalization fell 3.40% to $2.79 trillion. Marketwide trading volume reached $43.76 billion during the period.
The move followed an earlier market update in which Bitcoin gained while the crypto market capitalization declined.
Ether (ETH) rose 0.28% to $2,504. XRP fell 0.73% to $1.39, while BNB was nearly unchanged at $748.75. Solana (SOL) declined 0.39% to $109.41, and Dogecoin (DOGE) dropped 0.77% to $0.0852.
Bitcoin represented 59.7% of the total crypto market, while Ether accounted for 10.9%.
Among the top 38 cryptocurrencies, Arbitrum (ARB) posted the strongest performance, gaining 6.54%. Quant (QNT) was the weakest performer, falling 3.84%.
Crypto liquidations totaled $49.1 million across Binance, Bybit and OKX over the same 24-hour period. Long positions accounted for $21.9 million of the liquidations, compared with $27.2 million for short positions.
