Bitcoin (BTC) is heading into September inflation data and a Federal Reserve discussion this week as large-holder balances rise while apparent demand remains negative.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is scheduled to release the September Consumer Price Index at 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 p.m. UTC) on Oct. 14. The report will provide a new reading on consumer-price pressures before the Federal Reserve’s next scheduled meeting on Oct. 27–28.

The latest available CPI report, covering August, showed headline inflation up 3.4% from a year earlier and core inflation up 2.4%. Higher inflation may influence expectations for Federal Reserve policy, which crypto markets closely monitor.

Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh is scheduled to participate in a discussion with International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva in Bangkok at 11:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 15 (3:30 a.m. UTC on Oct. 16). The event is listed as a discussion rather than a speech.

On-chain indicators show mixed conditions ahead of the scheduled events. Wallets holding between 1,000 and 10,000 BTC held 3.02 million BTC, excluding exchanges and mining pools. Bitcoin apparent demand stood at negative 23,000 BTC on the latest reading.

The figures point to accumulation among large holders alongside weaker measured demand, but they do not establish a direction for BTC prices. Ether (ETH) is also sensitive to changing expectations for inflation and monetary policy.

The scheduled releases continue a week of U.S. economic events that includes additional inflation data. The broader U.S. economic schedule also includes additional inflation data.

The next major event is the September CPI release on Oct. 14 at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by the Warsh discussion the next day.
