Litecoin Rebound Stalls Below $67.94 as MACD Momentum Flattens

Litecoin rose 3.23% to about $65.83, while falling open interest and a zero MACD histogram left the next directional signal unresolved.

Litecoin (LTC) gained 3.23% over the 24 hours to Oct. 12, reaching $65.88 before easing to about $65.83, with its recovery approaching several nearby resistance levels.

The token traded between an intraday low of $63.39 and a high of $65.88 on the spot market. Spot volume over the period was approximately $14.88 million.

Resistance stands at $66.68 and $67.52, followed by the 20-day simple moving average at $67.94. A close above $67.94 would remove the immediate moving-average barrier.

Support is positioned at $65.03 and $64.19. A break below both levels would put stronger support at $62.54 and $61.46 in focus.

Momentum readings were largely flat. The moving average convergence-divergence line and signal line both stood at 1.5683, leaving the histogram at 0.0000. The daily relative strength index was 54.58, while the stochastic oscillator showed %K at 42.89 and %D at 34.32.

Longer-term moving averages remained below the market, with the 50-day SMA at $59.05 and the 200-day SMA at $51.79. The 26-day exponential moving average was $64.41, compared with $65.98 for the 12-day EMA and $65.18 for the seven-day SMA.

At 3 a.m. ET (07:00 UTC), futures open interest was approximately 1,186,602 contracts, equivalent to about $73.98 million in notional value. Open interest fell 2.69% over 24 hours, while the eight-hour funding rate was negative 0.0052%.

The one-hour taker buy-to-sell ratio was 0.8572, with 24,141 contracts bought and 28,163 sold. The global account ratio was 1.9087, with 65.6% of positions long. Among top traders, the ratio was 2.6670, with 72.7% of positions long.

The equal MACD readings leave the next signal dependent on whether the histogram turns positive or negative. Falling open interest during the rebound may reflect short-position closures, but the figures do not establish trader intent. Litecoin’s latest positioning follows recent TokenPost coverage of its support and resistance levels.
