XRP Whales Hold Steady as Traders Watch Key $1.53 Level
Large holders controlled about 3.90 billion XRP over the past week without significant accumulation or distribution as the token traded near $1.40.

XRP’s large holders remained largely inactive over the past week as the token traded at $1.40 and analyst Ali Martinez highlighted $1.53 as a key level for the market to watch.
Whales held about 3.90 billion XRP during the period, with no significant accumulation or distribution recorded. The limited change contrasts with an earlier accumulation wave involving more than 470 million XRP over five days, valued at more than $720 million.
Martinez identified $1.53 as a decisive level for XRP. A close above $1.53 could trigger a bullish breakout toward $1.62.
XRP has been consolidating within a tightening triangle formation, bringing attention to whether trading activity will expand as the pattern narrows. The structure has kept the market focused on a potential increase in volatility while whale holdings remain stable.
Trader Crypto Michael urged XRP bulls to prepare for “a lot of green.” He previously highlighted XRP’s breakout from a seven-year pennant in 2024, before the token moved above $3 later that year.
With whale holdings steady, traders are weighing the $1.53 threshold against XRP’s $1.40 price as they monitor the tightening pattern.
