The correlation between Bitcoin (BTC) market capitalization and 10-year U.S. Treasury real yields rose above 0.6 in 2026, setting a new all-time high and marking a closer relationship between the two measures.

Bitcoin had been largely uncorrelated with 10-year real yields historically, and the relationship has trended positive in recent years. The 10-year real-yield curve is based on Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS), whose yields account for inflation.

The measure compares Bitcoin’s market capitalization with real yields. It does not compare daily Bitcoin returns with daily yield changes. The analysis does not specify the calculation window, data frequency or method, limiting comparisons with other rate-correlation measures.

A correlation indicates that two measures move together; it does not establish that yields caused changes in Bitcoin’s market capitalization or that the relationship will continue.
