Lumens (XLM) traded near $0.18 on Oct. 16 as a 1.88% 24-hour decline left the token near chart support at $0.17, while momentum readings remained in oversold territory.

At 12:50 p.m. ET (16:50 UTC), XLM was $0.1807361. Separate Oct. 16 technical readings placed its seven-day simple moving average and 12-day exponential moving average at $0.19. The 50-day simple moving average and 26-day exponential moving average were $0.20, while the 20-day simple moving average was $0.21. The 200-day simple moving average was about $0.18, matching the price at the stated precision.

Stochastic %K was 15.49 and %D was 12.39, both described as oversold. Oversold conditions can persist during a downtrend and do not confirm a rebound. The 14-period relative strength index was 39.80, classified as neutral.

The chart levels set $0.19 as the first resistance test. A daily close that reclaims and holds $0.19 would put $0.21 in view. A daily close below $0.17 would invalidate the identified support scenario; both levels describe conditional outcomes.

Binance futures notional open interest stood at $35.76 million at 4 a.m. ET (08:00 UTC) on Oct. 16, up 4.39% over 24 hours. The figure alone does not show whether positions were long or short. XLM is used to pay transaction fees on the Stellar network. The update follows an Oct. 15 XLM technical snapshot that placed the token below its 200-day average but above its lower Bollinger Band.
