Global NFT sales totaled $47,138,650 in the seven-day snapshot dated Oct. 17, a 24.57% increase from the preceding rolling period. Activity counts moved in different directions: buyer and seller addresses climbed, while the number of transactions fell.

Buyer addresses increased 252.23% to 107,061, and seller addresses rose 192.38% to 89,117. Transactions declined 32.35% to 507,562. Address counts refer to blockchain addresses and do not necessarily represent individual people.

Ethereum led sales by blockchain at $19,590,513, up 18.48%. Polygon ranked second with $8,377,559, down 1.99%, and the Bitcoin (BTC) network placed third at $8,252,706, up 132.05%.

The highest-value listed transaction was a $8888 BRC-20 sale valued at $2,968,838.11, or 36.3755 BTC. It occurred about two days before the snapshot date.

A prior weekly NFT market update covered a different rolling seven-day period, so the figures should not be treated as a direct week-over-week comparison.
